Radon Transforms and the Rigidity of the Grassmannians (Am-156)

Radon Transforms and the Rigidity of the Grassmannians (Am-156)
This book provides the first unified examination of the relationship between Radon transforms on symmetric spaces of compact type Radon and the infinitesimal versions of two fundamental rigidity problems in Riemannian geometry. Its primary focus is the spectral rigidity problem: Can the metric of a given Riemannian symmetric space of compact type be characterized by means of the spectrum of its Laplacian? It also addresses a question rooted in the Blaschke problem: Is a Riemannian metric on a projective space whose geodesics are all closed Radon and of the same length isometric to the canonical metric? The authors comprehensively treat the results concerning Radon transforms Radon and the infinitesimal versions of these two problems. Their main result implies that most Grassmannians are spectrally rigid to the first order. This is particularly important, for there are still few isospectrality results for positively curved spaces Radon and these are the first such results for symmetric spaces of compact type of rank >1. The authors exploit the theory of overdetermined partial differential equations Radon and harmonic analysis on symmetric spaces to provide criteria for infinitesimal rigidity that apply to a large class of spaces. A substantial amount of basic material about Riemannian geometry, symmetric spaces, Radon and Radon transforms is included in a clear Radon and elegant presentation that will be useful to researchers Radon and advanced students in differential geometry.

Radon Daughters by Iain Sinclair,

Radon Daughters by Iain Sinclair,
Radon Daughters is a comic Radon and alarming epic about a city Radon and a society torn by random violence Radon and uncontrollable compulsions. Todd Sileen, a rage-driven cripple, ekes out a living in a wasted East London borough. He spends his days foraging in the pubs Radon and abandoned lots of this ghetto, contending with some of its most menacing inhabitants. Seduced by increasing violence Radon and vices, Sileen endeavors to sustain a life he deems not worth living.

Radon fluoride - Radon fluoride is a compound of radon, a noble gas. Radon reacts readily with fluorine to form a solid compound, but this decomposes on attempted vaporization and its exact composition is uncertain.

Radon - Radon is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Rn and atomic number 86. A radioactive noble gas that is formed by the disintegration of radium, radon is one of the heaviest gases and is considered to be a health hazard.

Radon Mitigation - Radon Mitigation is any process used to reduce radon concentrations in the breathing zones of occupied buildings. The most common approaches are Active Soil Depressurization (ASD) and Mechanical Ventilation (MV).
